Ulcerative Colitis Symptoms

If you have ulcerative colitis, you may have pain in your abdomen and experience bloody diarrhea. The symptoms that you may experience may vary depending on the severity of your condition. Other ulcerative colitis symptoms may include:

  • Anemia
  • Fatigue
  • Weight loss
  • Loss of appetite
  • Rectal bleeding
  • Loss of body fluids and nutrients
  • Skin lesions
  • Joint pain
  • Growth failure (specifically in children)

Some people may also experience arthritis, inflammation of the eye, liver disease, and osteoporosis.
